Flower Crowns for You

Aravinda held the clippers close, lilac eyes observantly admiring the flowers he had picked and bred. The blooms were plenty this time of the year, and he's glad for it. Maybe, Fluffpaws would come and ask for their annual need of flower crowns in the festival for the Goddess. He picked up a stray leaf before setting it inside the pocket of the apron donned upon his shoulders, flowing down to his knees. His tail flicked pleasantly before proceeding to go inside the shop, the bell jingling at the movement.

Lily hummed lightly, walking down the street before Aravinda's shop came into view.
Lily couldn't hold back a smile or a faint blush. His usual flower crown was starting to wilt anyways. Lily opened the door of the shop. "Hey Vin, you here?" The tiger striped fluff called out softly

Aravinda turned and smiled at the golden Fluffpaw. "Hi, Lily. What do you need?" He flicked his tail before turning his body around to politely face the customer.

"I need a new flower crown, just the usual blue roses please." Lily said politely. He may have just gotten over a breakup with the florist, but that didn't mean he had to be rude.

"Of course, dear," Aravinda smiled a bit. His eyes were a bit swollen, possibly from the lack of sleep. He held his tongue a but before correcting himself. "Dear customer, I mean. Pardon me." Could the flirt of a florist be feeling guilty of what he did to the younger Fluffpaw that jow stood before him?

Lily cocked his head at the florists strange change in demeanor. "Vin, you okay?" He asked. "You look a bit off."

Aravinda blinked. "Yeah," He said, rubbing his eyes tentatively. "Just had a bit sleepless night." The florist offered a smile.

Lily nodded, a little unconvinced. "If you say so." He sat on a stool. "Do ya mind if I just wait here?"

"Sure," He said now, moving to grab hold of the pots. His paws gripped the ceramic tightly before taking them around the counter, opening the small door and setting them on the floor.
The florist dusted his paws on the apron, moving again to a new pot of blue-colored roses, which in reality was just a collection of white roses sucking up blue dye.

Lily watched the scenery unfold outside, with FluffPaws wandering around into shops outside.

The Fluffpaw quickly got to work, clipping up the stems so that they'll be easier to bend. Some of the flowers were still buds, but didn't bother as he gently pulled the petals so they opened up slightly.
Slowly braiding a small wiry band, he hummed a small tune to cut the silent atmosphere.

Lily looked back to see his crown was almost finished and smiled slightly. Since the break up, Lily wasn't completely himself. But then he met Moose, and the pirate was slowly helping him get back on his feet. Lily was surprised he actually was getting over it, maybe it was because of Moose or maybe it was because the tiger's less-shy side was starting to shine through, it was unclear which.

Aravinda's paws moved smoothly, lacing the flowers into the spaces he had left between the braids. He paused for a while before abandoning his work and opening a small cabinet, where small cattails and several other wild plants lie. He picked up some of them.

Lily glanced out the window once again, watching the sun begin to go down as reds, oranges, purples, and pinks filled the sky

Aravinda glanced out, before looking at Lily. He had spent so much time making their relationship work - holding himself back from flirting with others, cook when he can and whatnot despite almost setting his home and store on fire, cuddling up with the Guard - but a tiger can't change their stripes.
The florist moved back to his work, paws working more hurriedly now.

Lily did feel a little guilty. He really thought he could make his and Aravinda's relationship work, but I guess he was just too shy. Lily broke out of his thoughts at the sudden quickened pace of the florist.

Aravinda flicked his ear, paws working diligently. After done lacing in the flowers one by one, he held the flower crown a bit hesitantly. He breathed in, before smiling.
"Hey, Lily." He nudged the Fluffpaw over the counter. "Here."

Lily shifted his gaze to the finished flower crown and smiled. "Thanks Aravinda." He gently grasped the crown and put it on top of his head. He stood up, "I should get going now, I got some work to do." He waved goodbye and stepped out of the shop, walking down the streets of Evertown.
