Red Riding Hood

It was a sunny morning in Evertown.
There weren't many fluffs on the streets when Roze entered the town. They were probably at work, or hiding away from the heat. The hooded fluffpaw walked through the alleys, observing his surroundings. He never was at such a big town before. He didn't have time for sightseeing though, since he was hungry and thirsty after all the way from Grimehorn.
He had to find a shop quickly.

Aiden was walking around the town as usually. He had heard about the wayward mage who had destroyed some guards units in Eaglewind and Grimehorn. The famous Red Riding Hood was said to have left the shore and venture further into the land. He could have arrived in Evertown at any time and Aiden doubted that any guard could face him on their own.

Suddenly Roze bumped into someone tall. He looked up, wanting to apologize, but then he noticed the Fallen Stars uniform.
"You..." Roze growled and stepped away, ready to fight.

[W-rabbit]

"Aren't you that pirate? Wait...", Aiden didn't really expect to see a kid but the Fluff standing before him couldn't be older than 20. A bit startled he stepped back, reaching to his sword with hesitation. He wasn't going to hurt a brat, for Godness' sake!

"You're the captain of the guards here, huh?" the kid growled, tightening his paws and teeth. The wall on his right started trembling vigoriously, some plaster falling off it.

[W-rabbit]

"Holy... What the fuck?!", Aiden shouted seeing as the wall slowly started to go up into the air. "Run!", he shouted to some FluffPaws who were standing nearby, completely petrified. "Kid, I don't want to hurt you so please put that down! We can do this without hurting bystanders!"

"Shut up and die!" Roze shouted and moved his paws. The brick wall that until now floated in the air fell on Aiden, rousing clouds of the dust. The cloaked fluff panted heavily.
The attack clearily costed him a lot of power.

Aiden jumped away in the last moment before the wall crushed onto the sidewalk.
"I'm not letting you ruin the city!", he shouted jumping on the smaller Fluff and pushing him on the ground. He pressed his paws to the ground, sitting on him and keeping him in place with his weight.

Roze tried to break away from his grip.
"Let me go!" he growled angrily, but too much of his power went into levitating a wall, and so he couldn't escape. Instead he bit Aiden's paw in a desperate attempt to free himself.

[W-rabbit]

"Ouch! Stubborn brat", Aiden growled, not letting him go. Still holding him with his paw, he looked for the cuffs and finally managed to handcuff him. "You're coming with me, you got it? I see that you're too tired to try anything anyway."
He got up and slung the kid over his shoulder to carry him to the headquaters.

"Ugh! I said let me go, dammit!" Roze barked and kicked Aiden's back helplessly. He tried flinging small stones at him too with his magic, but it did nothing except for annoying the bigger guard.

Aiden groaned, holding the kid in one place the whole way. When he finally reached the headquaters, he bumped into one of his collagues.
"Oh, Aiden! What's with the brat?", he asked cheerfuly.
"Nothing", Aiden growled, feeling that another rock hit his back. The kid was really getting on his nerves.
"Anyway, Rhys is here. He'd heard that the Red Riding Hood came to Evertown so he wants to make sure everybody will be on standby. As soon as they catch that guy, he's going to be executed in Eaglewind", the guy said with a grin that didn't mean anything good. Aiden paled. Rhys? Executed? Did they know that Red Riding Hood was actually just a brat?
"Tell him I'll come by later. I have to make this guy say sorr for stealing that old ladies' Mothpillar. You know how they are", he said quickly. The guard cheerfuly bid him farewell and Aiden quickly turned around walking away from the HQ as fast as he could.

"Hey! What are you doing?" the hooded fluff asked, surprised. Weren't the guard going to lock him up or something? Roze was pretty sure that he was getting executed this time.

[W-rabbit]

"Shut up, kid. Do you want to die? They weren't kidding. Guards in Eadglewind won't give a shit if you're a kid or not, believe me", Aiden answered coldly. He had no idea what to do with the brat, he was making a completely impulsive decision. Who has enough guts to take care of a wayward mage?

"But you're a guard. I thought all guards want pirates dead." Roze muttered softly, confused. It was a first time when a guard was actually trying to help him.

[W-rabbit]

"I ain't hurting kids", Aiden answered. "Come on, I know who can keep you hidden until Rhys leaves", he sighed, looking at the nearby coffee shop. "I can't believe I'm doing this", he muttered more to himself than to Roze. He went to the back of the shop and pushed the door open. He let Roze stand and opened the door leading to the hall for guests.
"Randy, come here for a moment",he hissed, trying not to attract attention.

The blue-eyed FluffPaw was making a mocha coffee.
"One second, honey~" he said in a sing-song voice while pouring some milk into the coffee. He put it on the counter and called the fluff that ordered it before going to the back of the shop.
"Hello there, hot stuff~ See something you like?" Randy greeted captain of the guards and winked at him, smirking.

Aiden blushed furiously. He was never ready to hear more of the barista's flirting. He pushed Roze forward, ignoring the former pirate.
"Hide him for a few days. If Rhys finds him here he'll send him to Eaglewind and they will execute him", he said.

"Oh my, are you doing something illegal? No way~" the blue-eyed fluff grinned and regarded Roze. "Name's Randy, kid".
"Whatever, I don't care" the dissenter said in a rude tone, still eyeing Aiden suspiciously. He still couldn't believe that a guard was trying to hide him away, let alone a captain.
"Rude~" the barista snorted. This was going to be fun.

[W-rabbit]

"Oh Godness, you two will get along, won't you? I hate this", Aiden moaned. "Okay, kid, stay with Randy for now. I'll try to convince Rhys that you've gotten away."
He opened Roze's cuffs. and looked at Randy.
"Pretend that he's your new barista or something."

"I'll take care of this, don't you worry!" said Randy and pushed Roze into the coffee shop before he could even think of escaping.
"My shift ends at 8 pm, so meet me then, darling~" purred the barista, smirking at Aiden.

"Don't call me darling. How many times do I have to tell you", Aiden growled, a bit red. "Seriously, though, keep an eye on him. He threw a house at me", he added. Randy might be annoying but Aiden sure didn't want him dead.

"He did what?" Randy said, surprised. He didn't know anything about a kid except that guards would execute him if they found him.

[W-rabbit]

"He's a telekinesis mage, apparently. He threw a wall at me and kept throwing little rocks when we were walking here", Aiden explained. "So be careful. I'll try to make Rhys leave as soon as possible."
He waved at the barista and quickly left to meet up with the head of the guards.

"Okay, be careful at the job, honey~" Randy sing-sang sweetly after him before closing the door and turning to Roze. The younger fluff changed his red cloak into a coffeeshop apron, and was now eyeing the crowd in the shop.
"You look cute" said the barista.
"Fuck off. I'm agreeing to this only because I don't want to die." muttered Roze, blushing a bit.
"Yeah, yeah. Let's get to the work then, kid."
"But I don't even know what to do!"
"Oh, don't worry" Randy smirked devillishly "I'll tell you exacly what to do".
