When the time came, Aiden was waiting for them at the back of the coffee shop. He wasn't lookinv very happy since Rhys had decided to stay for a while. He didn't listen to Aiden and it didn't really came as a surprise. The old guard did everything like he wanted to.

"Oh, there you are~" Randy chirped, pulling Aiden deeper into the shop. There weren't many fluffs left at this hour, since the doffeeshop was closing in twenty minutes. Roze was walking around the shop, picking up the empty plates that other fluffs left.

"You've made him work here?", Aiden asked with disbelief. he kinda expected to see the coffee shop completely ruined but it seemed that Randy could actually keep the brat in check. "Nevermind. Rhys will stay here for a few days so I need you to take care of the brat until he leaves."

"Alright, but I don't know how long I'll be able to keep him hidden under my boss's nose like that." said the barista, watching Roze carrying quite a big pile of dirty dishes. One of the forks almost fell to the ground, but the young fluff catched it with his magic before it fell to the floor.

Aiden sighed.
"I'm sorry to get you involved like this. I guess I have a problem with letting some pirates simply be killed", he smiled sheepishly. He knew that for some reason would do everything to help him but it didn't seem fair to make him do something against the law now that he'd finally gotten his life together.

Randy smiled and put a paw on his arm.
"It's okay, really." he then turned and went to Roze, helping him with the dishes and getting ready to close the shop.

Aiden blushed a bit, watching them. There was something about those rare smiles that weren't meant to make him embarased or to tease him and he couldn't place it. In moments like these he realised that he actually didn't really mind Randy and could probably even become friends with him.

Soon the coffeeshop was closed, and Randy, Roze and Aiden were standing outside. Randy closed the front door with a key and hid them in his bag.
"So what now?" he asked, turning to the guard.

"I have no idea. I can't take him to my house, Rhys is sleeping there", Aiden shook his head. He knew that Randy probably realised what he wanted to say and really hoped that he will agree. He either wouldn't let a brat die.

"I can take him in, alright" Randy patted the kid's hood with his paw. "He's so adorable~"
Roze smacked away his paw and glared at Aiden. He was never going to trust a guard.

"Don't look at me like that, brat, I'm trying to help. And Randy used to be a pirate, like you, so you should get along", Aiden growled. "Sorry about that. I can stay with you if he'd try something stupid. Rhys won't actually care, he has his own stuff to do."

"Oh, so you're going to stay at my place~? You know that would mean we'd have to sleep together~" Randy smirked.
"You were a pirate?" Roze asked, surprised. The barista didn't look like a pirate at all, with his kind blue eyes and an apron.

Randy just grinned at Aiden in the answer before turning to Roze.
"Yeah, I was a pirate - the greatest one in fact~" he said. "I was robbing marines of all the gold, and had many adventures with my people~"
"Why aren't you a pirate now then?" the hooded Fluff asked curiously.

"Don't go there, kid", Aiden interrupted harshly. He knew that Randy was still not over his crew and he also knew about his tendency to drink when he tought about them too much. He didn't want to see the merchant drowning in guilt again.

"I see." Roze answered. He didn't seem to be in the least fazed about the discovery.

Aiden didn't say anything this time. He still remembered the waves roaring above his head and crushing into his body. He had no idea how did he manage to get Randy and Husky to the shore like that. He had survived storms on his father's ship but being in the middle of that chaos was completely different.

"My name is none of your business." growled Roze rudely.
"That's a pretty long name~" said the barista without missing a bit, grinning.

Aiden laughed, unable to help it. When the kid wasn't throwing buildings at him, it was pretty funny to see him all grumpy. He still didn't trust them, what was honestly quite smart but Aiden knew he wouldn't hurt a child even if they were a pirate.

"Oh my, was that a laughter, or did you just choke on air~?" now it was Aiden's turn to be teased. Randy was not going to get off him so easily, now that he had heard that adorable laughter.

"Aww, you wouldn't, you'd be too worried~" the barista teased as he fished out the keys to his house and opened the door. "Hey, Red Ridin', you want something? Coffee? Tea? Cocoa?"
"How about nothing?" huffed Roze as they stepped into the house. He wasn't going to trust them just like that. He got betrayed far too many times already.
